Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born on the 8th of October, 1968, is also an activist. She was Ainsley Hayes on the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne was a CBS police procedural show called CSI: Miami (2002–2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on the 8th of October 1968. She was adopted at the age of a baby by William Procter, a general physician and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. After her parents divorced, she was just three years of age. She has an older brother, Whit, who is also adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter was educated in Raleigh. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi. She was a TV anchor for the WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. After graduation, she graduated with degrees in journalism, and dance.
